It was the babies’ first time at the beach. B usually doesn’t take to new experiences and textures but he loved the sand and had a great time! C enjoyed herself as well, though she wasn’t into the sand.
I am so behind on posting pics! My apologies. We have been doing a lot of fun activities at home, especially sensory activities. Many of these involve water since it’s warm out, but there have been others too. Here are the pics:
This little boy is making moves – not to crawling or scooting, but to standing and holding onto things. In fact, that’s all he wants to do. We think he might skip crawling and go right to walking.
And the little girl is on her way to crawling and generally being a ham for the camera. She has also developed a love of books and points to pictures of dogs and people’s faces.
If I wait another month to post again, it’ll be their birthday!
I have to post today’s pictures, since the babies’ outfits came from my aunt! They fit perfect and I was afraid it would soon be too warm to wear them. Today didn’t go according to plan – originally we were supposed to go meet some new mommy friends where one of them is a photographer and she was going to take pictures of moms and babies for Mother’s Day. Well it was drizzling when we left the house but I had heard it wouldn’t rain too much today so we left and drove down there, and it was cancelled because it was pouring when we arrived. They didn’t have my phone number so they couldn’t call me, and so…anyway, it was kind of a waste.
The babies looked so cute in their little outfits that I couldn’t let the day pass without taking some pictures, so we went upstairs and I took a million photographs. This is what a “photo shoot” of mine really looks like – the cute, the grumpy, and when the dog joins in:
Wow, I’m behind. Not to worry relatives, I’ve still been taking many pictures.
The babies are developing affection for each other which is totally adorable, hence the kissing picture. This picture, though, is more like C trying to grab onto B’s shirt and pull.
The babies love the swings – we need one for inside our house!
Not so keen on sharing right now…
Loving our new stroller for walks.
They got their first baseball hats from their uncle:
C is making strides towards crawling – this is her leaning way over her feet and up onto her ankles.
Our wagon present from Grandma.
Saying “cheese”!
B is making different strides towards crawling – such as rolling and swinging his legs around.
More kisses!
Wearing her Kentucky Derby (or Old Navy) hat.
I’ve been saving these little headbands for a few months now – gotta love the dollar store. I’m sure they’ll moan in embarrassment someday but I can’t pass up a good photo opportunity with adorable young twins, and that’s what I’ll tell them when they complain. Here’s our bunny photo shoot, with outtakes.
Then I took their bunny ears off and snapped a few “just face” pics:
If that picture above doesn’t look like my husband…
Love those blue eyes!
And then we had an Easter Egg Hunt with some new mommy friends…
Just wait until they get in their Easter clothes!
We keep going new places, so I keep taking 5,000 pictures. Here are a few:
The Beach:
B liked the sand and thankfully it didn’t enter his mouth.
C loved this shell, and licked it repeatedly. Must’ve been the salt.
The playground – one with baby swings:
They are both talking in this picture – having a very important discussion!
And to my front yard:
We went to the park for the first time, hoping there would be baby swings. There weren’t any, but we still had some fun. There are pictures of me holding B on the swing but I don’t have them yet – I will add those next time!
B enjoyed swinging with me on the big kid swing, but the rest he could take or leave. C enjoyed the slide and the wood chips.
Here are a few more from recently:
B has figured out how to slowly push himself backwards.
C has discovered the shiny cabinet knobs and that there are items inside the cabinet.
Showing off his two teeth!
Away from home, the cuteness of napping in the giant pack n play!
